Baritone Will Liverman brings his "velvet voice" (NPR) and "nuanced, heartfelt storytelling" (The Guardian) back home to venues across Virginia, alongside pianist and Virginia Opera Artistic Director Adam Turner, for a program showcasing the work of renowned Black composers and writers across generations. Following last year's Metropolitan Opera re-opening production, Fire Shut Up In My Bones, “in a breakthrough performance” (The New York Times), Liverman triumphantly returns to Virginia Opera to perform songs by Black composers Florence Price, Damien Geter, H. Leslie Adams, H. T. Burleigh, and Damien Sneed.
