Description

Experience the power of Frederick Douglass being brought to life through a living history performance by Performance Poet, Historian, and Suffolk, VA native, Nathan M. Richardson. Be moved by Virginia Opera artists as they raise their voices in song, echoing the determination, spirit, and pride of Douglass' words.

This event is at the Virginia Museum of History & Culture at 428 N Arthur Ashe Boulevard, Richmond, VA 23220.

VMHC members can use their membership cards for free entry into and out of the parking lot. If you do not have your member card, please take a ticket and your parking will be validated at the Guest Services desk. The rate for non-members is $5.00 for 4 hours and $1.00 for each additional hour. Street parking is also available.

Please enter the building through the main entrance facing N Sheppard Street (opposite the VMFA parking garage.) Registration and check-in will be located in Commonwealth Hall. Get Directions.
